of the Birds, a new permanent site-specific sculpture by Brian Goggin
with Dorka Keehn commissioned by the SF Arts Commission.
Historically "The language of the birds" was considered a
divine language birds used to communicate with the initiated. Here a
sculpted flock of glowing books takes off from the plaza to fly the
urban gullies of the city.
The fluttering books have left a gentle imprint of words beneath them.
These serendipitously configured bits of local literature reveal the layering of culture, nature and consciousness.

My friend Sean at his cd release party. He stepped off the stage and twisted his knee, took an ambulance ride to the hospital where they said he blew out his ACL. He went back to the venue to pick up his rig to find out that the opening acts had just finished up... so he grabbed a stool and played his show. Here's the last song.
Why do I have to critique such things.
I have a story in my hand right now that's....well basically a rich old McCain campaigner runs out of gas on the highway, and he's going to be late to his son's last baseball game. An Obama campaigner offers him a ride OOER, but then he makes a comment about how abortion is bad and she dumps him on the side of the road. His wife texts him and says "When u get home, we need 2 talk." Because she's pissed at him for always missing family engangements to go campaign for McCain.
