I've noticed lately that any boy who wants to date me gets this weird look in his eyes when I tell him I'm Russian, and says "REALLY?" and then I become The Russian Girl and he always wants to talk about Russia and have me show him Russian cultural stuff, and so on and so forth. And it's like, some kinda weird turn-on. (Also, such a boy is always disappointed that I can't do the Evil Natasha accent.)

The weird thing about that is that fetishization is MY game! I always fetishize something about the boy I am with, be it his midwestern upbringing or religious family or, I dunno, the shape of his face or something else. It's odd when the tables are turned!

Serves me right, I suppose.

Dear prospective roommates: when I joke that I'm not a "dangerous tenant" because I'm not gonna creep into people's rooms and suck their blood or anything, telling me that you'd like it if I sucked yours seems rather against protocol. Also, I know I mess with my hair a lot, but when I take it down so I can put it into a neater bun as I am leaving, reaching out and touching it is kind of odd. Just, y'know, saying.

I can't believe I just NOW realized that Tiffany's username refers to her preference for Ginger over Mary Anne of Gilligan's Island fame. All this time I seriously thought she was just professing her love for the Asian tuber (har har), and I couldn't figure out why it was in past tense. Did she have some kind of traumatic seasoning accident, I wondered? Was it just a typo? And did she specifically like it ground (lame) or fresh (awesome)? In baking (meh) or cooking and salads (yeah!)?

Now that I've had my epiphany though, I have other questions to ask. Namely, who the heck did not like Ginger? There's a reason I love Joan Holloway on Mad Men so.
