I am going to Toronto for the weekend. (Thurs-Mon.) What fun stuff can I do there?

My favorite Consu topic-maker is not on this site. I am sad. I miss his lime green sneakers like whoa.

I may not have gotten any real work done, BUT I found a major typo for Neil Gaiman *and* Katy Perry put the drawing I did for her as her new myspace pic. So Monday wasn't a complete wash, I guess?

I just ate like, the biggest burger ever. And now I want to curl up somewhere warm and sleep, but instead I need to do work. So I guess I'm gonna go to West End coffee shop and work, and y'all should leave me interesting things to check out when I get back! And if any of you are New Brunswick locals, you should come distract me. Except you're in England.

For Teejay, a Zooey lookalike.

I should have issues with a lot of the themes in her songs, but they are catchy and she is just SO CUTE that I can't.  How sweet is this girl?

So I'm trying to watch Iron Man, but its race and power politics keep making me too squicked out to continue. Does it get better, or is it just impossible to make a classic superhero movie that isn't somehow pro-fascist, pro-imperialist, and disturbingly Eurocentric (or America-centric) ? (Neo-con Batman was bad enough...)

Why is it that when I feel most disgusted with my weight/body image, I tend to react by eating like, an entire cake?

Steve Colbert is so cute. I had no idea he was into opera.

Take an object and propose a hypothetical burlesque act around it. 1. Knitted pasties. The dancer comes out in a full knitted dress plus knitting needles and un-knits herself out of it during the act. 2. A triangle. Comes with jingle-bell pasties. Not sure how the triangle figures in initially, but I want a musical numbers performed with the triangle and bells at the end!

Why is Alan Cumming so fantastically, amazingly attractive and fascinating to watch? Even in really, really bad movies?

I am the creepiest person on this site by far.

I was browsing Go Fug Yourself and their t-shirt shop and wondering if I should get one of their tees... and then I realized that I probably have no right to wear one, considering that if I were famous, they'd have me up on that site pretty much once a week.

I'm told I was the most gorgeous baby anyone had ever seen. I am also told I was the smartest 5-year-old they'd ever met. It's a bit weird knowing you peaked in toddlerdom.

I want to go into NY and see people. And yet I am supposed to be writing papers of death. Sigh. I am super jealous of all of you who get together in places and do things!

Dear Todd Haynes: I thought that I really covered most of your influences for VG. I've read the requisite Wilde and Genet, obviously, I'm very familiar with the entire glam pantheon (both major and obscure), I know that you allude to Douglas Sirk, Clockwork Orange, Citizen Kane, Fassbinder, Jarman, your short student films, Mary Poppins, etc. I can tell you which documentaries you based the various shots on, and so on. Today I realized that in addition to Divine, you based Jack Fairy on William Hurt's Molina in Kiss of the Spider Woman. Do I get a prize?

The men I love most are all gay. But not the flaming kind of gay: more like the hipster, adorably eccentric, slightly nerdy, awkward-schoolboyish type of gay. Darnit. Also, despite all the stuff people say about M/F friendships, I have a number of male friends that I've always thought were kinda hot. I don't have any particular strong feelings for them, but you know, sleeping with them has crossed my mind one or 5 or 10 times. Sometimes I'll make an off-handed comment about finding them cute, and they're always really surprised. Why is that?

I am still waiting for all the guys it didn't work out with to come back and talk to me. Not in a romantic way. But because I really think we'd make good friends! (I mean people with whom there was an initial mutual interest, and then stuff just never quite got off the ground.) Am I weird in this?

Soooo... I was thinking... what's the difference between this site and livejournal, really? Except you can do less things here? What is your "team" but basically, a friends-list? What can you do here that you can't do there, or what can you do here better?
