A Wal-Mart worker was killed Friday when "out-of-control" shoppers desperate for bargains broke down the doors at a 5 a.m. sale. Other workers were trampled as they tried to rescue the man, and customers shouted angrily and kept shopping when store officials said they were closing because of the death, police and witnesses said.

This had been an absolute peice of shit of a week, and I'm so glad it's over. Who wants to come to my housewarming party tomorrow, and what goodies will you bring?

My workplace is shutting down from Dec 24 - Jan 5, and will not be paying anyone during that time unless they take vacation pay. What should I do with my week and a half of forced time off with no pay?

I've just started a job at a restaurant a few days ago and now I'm going to an interview for an assembly job in a sheet metal shop, which corresponds to my trade. I'll definitely take the shop job over dishwashing, but I don't want to go out on bad terms. I've never been in this kind of situation before, what do I do?
