West (I feel like this needs something, and I need to turn it in for nerd group tomorrow)

They're after Me. The competition was rough. They stared at Me like I was unworthy. I didn't need any reminders; I was quite aware of Their opinion of Me. I didn't deserve to stand among Them, to run with Their pack. To Them, I was strange, small, and worthless. The rejected Me, when I wasn't looking to be accepted. In Their society, individuality is forbidden. I left them, but They still continue to journey into the wrong direction. I cannot run as fast, but I know which way to go.
It was time for Me to run the other way. They will go east, I will go west.
Duck behind an obstacle; I can't let Them see Me. Hunted down and eaten; I can't let Them find Me.
I need to find You.
I can see You. You, in all Your fantastic glory, illuminated by a gorgeous, bright beam of light. I pause, and stare at You in awe. I recall happier times, when a smile always danced upon Your lips, and elated and beautiful music played in Our ears. I remember, You and I, together, Our noses crinkling with laughter and joy, holding hands and running through Our own world of wonder.
At first, They seemed innocent to You. Their layers of makeup and sweet perfume were excellent masks, hiding Their true selves. You were just being polite, but as You timidly crept toward Them, I saw rotting flesh and caught Their horrible stench on the wind.
Before I could warn You, it was too late. Then, They divided Us, dragging You into Their world of corruption, greed, and hollowness. My heart ceased to beat. I tried to save You, but They moved with incredible speed.
I call out, but You're distracted by Them, who appear to be more glamorous and more charming and more confident than I. They are mere prostitutes, naked and flaunting. They forcefully shove immorality and unnecessary substances down Your throat. They tug furiously at Your limbs, gnashing Their teeth and laughing emotionlessly. Your face shows no pain on the surface, but on the inside I can tell that You're resisting with all of Your efforts. Your soulful eyes drift towards me, unseeing. Why can't you see Me?
See Me.
I thought You said I was better, smarter, more full of life than anyone You've ever known. Do not let Them take over. They are mindless zombies, all exactly the same, hungry for attention. They wander, like lost sheep without a shepherd, and hunt down anyone that can fulfill Their parasitic needs. Your complete occupation is what They lust for. They will eat You alive if you give Them the slightest bit of acknowledgment.
They grab at You, shove Themselves upon You with false, glittering smiles. You stumble out of Your angelic spotlight, torn away by Their deceiving grip, and They surround You with a cold darkness. I run towards You, but I'm not fast enough, and They're quickly pulling You with Them.
They're headed east.
Don't change Your path for Them. It's Your path.
It's Our path.
They do not love You. Without souls, They cannot love You the way I can: everlastingly. You will grow old, They will grow tired.
I will never tire. I do not run fast like Them, but I have an unimaginably infinite stamina.
I catch up to Their cluster around You, and swim through Their raw flesh. I grasp Your hand, and pull You tight to Me. My heart begins to beat once more, as I recreate Us.
Run with Me.
Run west.

My brother's new mother-in-law is excluding my mom from the *real* wedding plans.

My mom sent me an email this morning, and she sounded really stressed out over the fact that our new in-laws are keeping us in the dark about my brother & his wife's reception (they married last week but had to postpone the official reception because they left on a 6-week trip to Europe). Anyway, to make a long story short, the mother-in-law has already booked the reception hall, picked a date, and told a bunch of my parents' close friends. Now, I know it's customary for the bride's parents to pay for the wedding, but this lady didn't even ask my mom how many people she needed to invite and/or let my mom know the date so that I could request it off work. Does this seem unreasonable to anyone else? If so, please suggest how my mom and/or I should bring this up to her. Oh, and p.s., All my mom's friends asked my mom if she even knew about the wedding because we (my family) weren't in ANY of the wedding album pictures!!
